DESCRIPTION:Designing Field Investigations and Utilizing Community Science Tools\n(workshop FULL-waitlist available) \nJoin Pacific Education Institute for this online workshop on Designing Field Investigations and Utilizing Community Science Tools for educators of grades 3 to 12. \nIn this workshop we will explore ways students do field science by investigating phenomena\, collecting real world data\, analyzing evidence\, and utilizing community science tools to share their findings. Participants will learn and experience outdoor data collection in a distance learning context\, be exposed to community science tools and develop strategies to support students in data analysis. Participants will also have the opportunity to plan and collaborate with grade level colleagues during the workshop. \nFour hours will be on Zoom and two hours will be asynchronous using Google Forms (no login required). \n\nSession 1: Monday\, January 11\, 2021\, 4 PM to 6 PM\nSession 2: Thursday\, January 14\, 2021\, 4 PM to 6 PM\n\nParticipants who attend both sessions and complete all asynchronous work will receive: \n\n6 STEM clock hours\n$75 participation stipend\n\nPlease note: you must be a formal educator of grades 3 to 12 to participate in this online workshop.
