DESCRIPTION:FieldSTEM: Fostering Outdoor Observation Skills with Science Notebooks\n(registration will open to public on 10/21) \nAttention WA State Formal K-8 Educators! \nJoin PEI for this introduction to Fostering Outdoor Observation Skills with Science Notebooks. In this professional learning experience\, you will practice several simple activities that you can use to incorporate more of the outdoors into your lessons. You will also have time to collaborate with your grade-level* peers\, and time to plan how you might integrate the content into your work. \nThe workshop will be a blended experience including online Zoom and self-paced learning:  \n\nOctober 26\, 2021\, 4 PM to 6 PM: 2-hour Zoom session\nAsynchronous work (Approximately 2 hours)\nNovember 9\, 2021\, 4 PM to 6 PM: 2-hour Zoom session\n\nParticipants who attend both in-person sessions and complete all associated work will receive 6 Washington State Approved STEM clock hours.\nThere will be an opportunity for participants to receive a $100 implementation stipend upon the completion of additional work. Details will be provided at the workshop. \n*Please note: the content of this workshop is designed for teachers of grades K-8.
