DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Designing Project-Based Learning Experiences\n(district specific workshop) \nJoin PEI’s Coastal Region FieldSTEM Coordinator\, Julie Tennis\, for an introduction to designing project-based learning experiences.   \nThis six-hour in-person* workshop occurs over three days: September 7\, 8 and 9\, from 3-5 pm each day.  You will participate in a step-by-step project design process\, have time to research and design activities for a project\, and experience several elements of project-based learning\, such as group work and discussion/argumentation.  By the end of this workshop you should be able to plan and deliver your own project-based units. \nParticipants who attend all sessions will receive 6 WA State Approved clock hours. \n*PEI will be following these COVID-19 guidelines: Everyone is expected to wear masks and practice social distancing when indoors. In situations where social distancing is not possible during outdoor sessions\, masks are highly encouraged. If the venue or facility has stricter policies\, PEI will abide by those policies. Please do not attend if you currently have symptoms or have had recent exposure to someone that is suspected of or tested positive for a COVID infection. Participants attend at their own risk.
