DESCRIPTION:Solutions Oriented Learning Storylines: Renewable Energy\, Solar\nAttention all Formal Educators of Grades 3-12 from the ESD123* region! \n Join Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners to take a deep dive into renewable energy: solar\, focusing on Central and Eastern Washington.* Participants will learn about the Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline format\, which includes: centering Indigenous perspectives\, local anchoring phenomena\, culturally responsive practices\, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures\, and a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases with opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities.  \nThis workshop is part of a series of activities that includes three online Zoom sessions\, four self-paced learning opportunities on Canvas\, and providing feedback on the storyline as you explore it. \nSynchronous Sessions: \n\nTuesday\, February 8\, 2022\, 4 PM to 5:30 PM\nTuesday\, February 15\, 2022\, 4 PM to 5 PM\nTuesday\, February 22\, 2022\, 4 PM to 5:30 PM\n\nParticipants who attend all three online sessions and complete all associated work on Canvas will receive: \n\n6 STEM Washington State Approved Clock Hours\nAn opportunity to earn up to a $300 stipend for implementation\n\n*Note: you must be a formal educator of grades 3-12 in the ESD 123 region to participate.
