SUMMARY:SOLS: Solar (Eastern WA)
DESCRIPTION:Solutions Oriented Learning Storylines: Renewable Energy—Solar (Eastern WA)\n(Workshop is FULL-Waitlist available) \nJoin Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners to take a deep dive into renewable energy: solar\, focusing on Eastern Washington\, including tribal contributions and future opportunities. Participants will learn about the Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline format\, which includes: local anchoring phenomena\, culturally responsive practices\, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures\, and a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases with opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities.  \nThis workshop is part of a series of activities that includes three online Zoom sessions\, four self-paced learning opportunities on Google Classroom\, and providing feedback on the storyline as you implement it.  \nSynchronous Dates and times: October 19\, 20 and 22\, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM each day \nParticipants who attend all three online sessions and complete all associated work on Google Classroom* will receive: \n\n\nA $80 participation stipend  \n\n\n9 STEM Washington State Approved Clock Hours \n\n\n*To access part of this workshop\, you will need to have or open a Google account (not associated with your school district).
