DESCRIPTION:Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline: Urban Forestry\n(by invitation only) \nAttention Formal Educators of Grades K-12! \nJoin Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners to take a deep dive into urban forestry in Washington State. Participants will learn about the Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline format\, which includes: centering the Indigenous perspective\, local anchoring phenomena\, culturally responsive practices\, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures\, and a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases with opportunities to elevate student choices in their communities.  \nThis workshop includes three online Zoom sessions and three self-paced learning opportunities on Google Classroom.  \nSynchronous Sessions: \n\nThursday\, May 6\, 2021\, 4 PM to 6 PM\nThursday\, May 13\, 2021\, 4 PM to 6 PM\nWednesday\, May 19\, 2021\, 4 PM to 6 PM\n\nParticipants who attend both sessions and complete all assigned work will receive: \n\n9 Washington State Approved STEM clock hours\n$80 Participation Stipend\n\nPlease note: you must be a formal educator of grades K-12 in Washington State to attend this workshop.
