Solutions Oriented Learning Storylines: Wildfires in Washington
Attention all 6-12 Formal Educators in WA!
Join the Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners for a deep dive into the role of wildfires in Washington’s historic and current landscape, focusing on the Eastern and Central WA regions. Participants will learn about the solutions-oriented learning storyline format, which includes: local anchoring phenomena, culturally responsive practices tied to Since Time Immemorial, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures, and a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases with opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities.
This workshop is part of a series of activities that includes: three online learning sessions (6 hours), self-paced learning opportunities (estimated 3 hours) and a format to give feedback on the storylines. Presenters will share experience in the field, career paths, and wildfire respect and awareness that is becoming more important in the Pacific Northwest.

- Thursday, May 13, 2021, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Tuesday, May 25, 2021, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
