DESCRIPTION:Solutions Oriented Learning Storylines: Coastal Hazards\nBelfair\, WA \nMonday\, August 8\, 2022\, 9 AM to 3:30 PM \nJoin Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners for a deep dive into coastal hazards in Washington. Participants will learn about the Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline format\, designed around six guiding principles: Indigenous perspectives\, local anchoring phenomena\, culturally responsive instructional practices\, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures\, a solutions-oriented approach to addressing coastal hazards\, and opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities. \nThis in-person opportunity is for K-12 classroom teachers in Kitsap County and ESD 113 and will be held in Belfair\, WA.* \nParticipants who attend the entire session will receive: \n\n6 Washington State approved STEM Clock Hours\nThe opportunity to earn a $200 implementation stipend\n\n*Additional location details to follow via email for those who register.
