DESCRIPTION:Solutions Oriented Learning Storylines: Food Waste  \nBecome an integral part of this groundbreaking curriculum in Washington State!  \n#climetime #waclimetime #teachclimate \nPacific Education Institute (PEI) is recruiting 5th grade and High School teachers to implement our food waste storylines that address climate change. Each storyline incorporates the following elements: NGSS aligned 3-Dimensional instruction\, Indigenous ways of knowing\, locally relevant activities\, and solutions oriented learning based on research from Project Drawdown.  \nThis workshop is part of a series of activities that includes: a two-day workshop (support available for teachers traveling long distances)\, implementation of the storyline\, collection and submission of student work and a follow-up video conference to check-in on progress and provide feedback November 12\, 2019.  \nThis workshop is for 5th grade and High School classroom teachers – grade level teams are encouraged.  \n\nSub reimbursement is provided up to $150 per day.\nA $150 implementation stipend is available for those that implement the storyline\, attend the video conference follow-up\, and collect/submit student assessment data.\n12 STEM Washington State approved clock hours are available to teachers attending both days.\n\nInterested?
