Project Learning Tree

Project Learning Tree is a national award-winning environmental education program designed for teachers and other educators, parents, and community leaders working with youth from preschool through grade 12.

Project Learning Tree uses the forest as a “window on the world” to increase students’ understanding of our complex environment, stimulate critical and creative thinking to develop the ability to make informed decisions on environmental issues, remain open to future information that may change their opinion, and instill the confidence and commitment to take responsible action on behalf of the environment.

In Washington State, Project Learning Tree is proudly sponsored by the Pacific Education Institute.
