DESCRIPTION:Solutions Oriented Learning Storylines: Food Waste \nInterested? Register here! \nBecome an integral part of this groundbreaking curriculum in Washington State! \nPacific Education Institute (PEI) is inviting 4th-5th grade\, middle school and high school teachers to implement our food waste storylines that address climate change. Each storyline incorporates the following elements: NGSS aligned 3-Dimensional instruction\, Indigenous ways of knowing\, locally relevant activities\, and solutions oriented learning based on research from Project Drawdown.\nThis workshop is part of a series of activities that includes: a two-day workshop (support available for teachers traveling long distances)\, implementation of the storyline\, collection and submission of student work and a follow-up video conference to check in on progress and provide feedback. \nPEI will provide: \n• Sub reimbursement up to $150 per day.\n• A $150 implementation stipend for those that pilot the storyline in their classroom\, attend the video conference follow-up\, and collect/submit student assessment data.\n• Up to 12 STEM Washington State
