DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in providing a rich outdoor science experience for your students\, or concerned with how to help your students prepare for state testing? \nAttend this FieldSTEM Institute offered by Pacific Education Institute to meet your needs for an integrated program addressing the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)\, Common Core State Standards\, and Washington State Sustainability Standards. This workshop is for Formal K-8 Educators. \nParticipants will: \n\nDevelop a high-impact field investigation experience while focusing on teaching and assessing Next Generation Science Standards\nExperience Performance Tasks\, using science as the content\, to improve ELA and STEM achievement in your classroom\nCreate pre- and post-learning activities to enrich your student’s outdoor field experience.\nGet hands-on experience teaching real-world science\, outdoors!\nReceive mentored planning time with comprehensive examples of how one district implemented a K-10 FieldSTEM program\nHave the opportunity to earn 12 Washington State Approved STEM Clock Hours – at no cost!\n\n\n Upon successful completion of the workshop\, participants are eligible to receive a $150 stipend (Details provided at workshop—registration is required). \n\n Included with registration\, participants will receive one copy of each PEI Guide:\n 1.
