SUMMARY:FieldDesign - Engineering Design for Field-Based Applications
DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in learning about a framework that develops your students ability to think critically and problem-solve through hands-on locally relevant activities?  \nThe Pacific Education Institute is offering a workshop using FieldDesign: Engineering design for field-based applications. FieldDesign is a new framework to engage students in engineering practices with a real-world problem to solve\, students research and analyze situations to give engineering design a more meaningful context. We are seeking K-12 educators to pilot projects using this framework and provide feedback and revisions.  \nA $300 implementation stipend is available for those who meet these requirements:  \n\nAttend this 6 hour workshop\nReview the new framework\nImplement a portion of the framework in their classroom\nProvide PEI feedback during an online session \n\nWashington State formal educators can earn 6 Washington State approved STEM clock hours!  \nInterested?
