ClimeTime is a partnership between the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), the Association of Educational Service Districts (AESD) and community-based organizations with the goal of bringing climate science to the classroom. DOE’s Creative Curriculum Award Funds Asynchronous Food Waste Course

PEI Team Highlights

Welcome to Our New Eastern WA FieldSTEM Coordinator

Amy enthusiastically joined the PEI team in late 2021. She earned a BS in Plant Biology from University of California, Berkeley and is completing a Master of Sustainability Leadership degree at Arizona State University. She carries a true love for nature and a desire to facilitate outdoor experiences that spark lifelong curiosity. She has spent a good portion of the past 25 years working with youth (and adults) in a diverse range of environmental education settings and has especially enjoyed exploring ecological restoration, composting, pollinator/native plant gardening, stream monitoring, and more recently civic participation. She holds a special place in her heart for the tiny living things of the world that often go unnoticed. Amy believes solutions-focused community involvement provides a foundation for active hope, something we humans essentially need.
We are incredibly grateful that Amy has joined our team and look forward to the amazing collaborations she will make with educators and partners in the Eastern Washington region of our state. If you would like to speak to Amy about how to bring FieldSTEM to your community, please contact her at [email protected]

Help us do more in 2022!

At PEI, advancing equitable civic and science literacy for all students is foundational to our work.
In 2021, your support furthered our mission by making this foundation even stronger. Here are some things you helped us achieve! None of this work was possible without you!
In 2022, we are committed to growing these programs and others to benefit students in Washington. Your donation will help us continue to bring equity in science to all students. Will you join us in continuing to build upon this foundational work for all students across Washington?
