Happy 2021, <<First Name>>!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our end-of-year campaign. With your valuable partnerships and generous support, we are able to continue supporting educators to provide real-world science outdoors to students throughout Washington. Read on to see our current happenings.

What we've been up to

Solutions Oriented Learning Storylines: Food Waste for Bilingual Teachers

Last month we launched our first ever Spanish bilingual workshop. Twenty-three educators joined PEI Faculty, Lourdes Flores, in a three-session, online workshop. Participants explored waste management systems and the connection of food waste to climate change. Read more about the next bilingual workshop in February.

Community makes it happen

FieldSTEM Champions

Each year, PEI recognizes individuals and organizations that exemplify our vision of promoting a scientifically literate citizenry empowered to make balanced, well-informed decisions for sustainable communities, through our FieldSTEM celebration. This year, we highlighted six champions. It takes all of us to offer the support educators need to effectively implement FieldSTEM.
