$20STEM Education using worms!!
Educators that would like a worm bin for their classroom or organization to use as a tool for hands-on science education are invited to attend this workshop. Learn the basics of worm composting using red worms and how to incorporate these worms in your curriculum. These cool creatures can be used for a number of science, math and literature connections
Participants will:
- Develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Integrates science, mathematics, ELA, biology, solid waste issues, ecology, and the environment in ways that draw children into the learning process.
- Make their own worm bin and stock it with worms.
- Learn the basics of worm composting and how to care for a worm bin.
- Participate in a number of educational activities using worms.
- Receive a copy of Worms Eat My Garbage: Classroom Activities for a Better Environment
- Receive other useful activities for STEM education using worms; including a science notebook for observations and activities.
- Receive 5 FREE CLOCK HOURS
Cost: $20 –includes all educational materials, worm bin, and the FREE CLOCK HOURS.
Lunch not included.
