This course builds on the Introduction to Urban and Community Forestry framework to go deeper into the scientific and algebraic principles of urban and community forestry. The course includes units on safety, well-being and leadership; trees and people; plant identification and anatomy, tree health, tree planting and care, remote sensing and data analysis, and career pathways. Students will complete a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) as part of the course. This course is eligible for 1.0 credit in Lab Science or Geometry/Integrated Math II.
