The FieldSTEM® model makes environmental science, field-based engineering design, and more available to all students while deepening engagement and promoting real-life stewardship and problem-solving through locally relevant outdoor experiences.
FieldSTEM’s research-based methods and frameworks help teachers and administrators deliver high-quality STEM education as early as Kindergarten. Our frameworks include multi-disciplinary approaches to STEM that expose students to applied math, scientific inquiry and research, technology used by professionals, engineering design, and more.
FieldSTEM Signature Programs target specific STEM-related instructional skill sets and focus on topics like creating High-impact Field Experiences (HIFEs), hosting field investigations on school grounds, fostering outdoor observation skills, tools and tactics that integrate English-language arts with science, and more. FieldSTEM Coordinators work closely with the regional facilitators, the Program Coordinator and the Associate Directors to communicate needs and provide input for FieldSTEM communication outreach and reporting.
