Connecting Teachers and Forests: A Project Learning Tree (PLT) and Green Diamond Forestry Tour

Workshop Dates/Time:

August 20, 2018 / 8:30a.m.—12:30p.m.

August 21, 2018 / 9:00a.m.—3:00p.m.

PEI supports teachers to provide integrated, career-connected, locally-relevant, field-based education – FieldSTEM.  In this multiple day, no-cost, workshop teachers will receive valuable forest and forestry-related resources and participate in a tour provided by Green Diamond Resources, highlighting the management of working forests.

Teachers will receive:

• Project Learning Tree’s Pre-K-8 Environmental Education Activity Guide 
• 10 Washington State Approved STEM Clock Hours—at no cost!
• PLT’s Energy in Ecosystems e-unit (grades 3-5) – for the first 12 teachers registered that teach that grade band
• A $75 participation stipend (details provided at the workshop)
