Developing & Refining High Impact Field Experiences for K-12 Students

Join PEI FieldSTEM Coordinators, Chad Mullen and Julie Tennis, for a workshop designed to deepen non-formal educators’ understanding of the characteristics of a high impact field experience and provide strategies for strengthening their program’s support of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). 

Participants will: 

• Explore the components of a high impact field experience
• Become familiar with the Next Generation Science Standards and what is meant by 3-dimensional instruction
• Have mentored planning time to develop or refine their own program deliverables
• Receive PEI’s Designing High Impact Field Experiences guide and other tools and resources

Formal Educators will have the opportunity to earn 6 Washington State Approved Clock Hours — at no additional cost!
