Sample Unit: Ocean Tech
Experience the process of engineering to design and build a remotely operated vehicle (R.O.V.)! The moon is more explored than the ocean, and that includes the Salish Sea. Where it is inconvenient or even impossible for people to go, we can engineer technology to go there for us, like the Mars Rovers, space probes, automatic unmanned vehicles, drones, and in this unit, ROV’s. Ocean Tech dives into the engineering process, empowering kids to figure out the laws of motion and become a team of physical, mechanical, and electrical engineers working together to achieve a student-driven mission.
This is an IN-PERSON workshop, held in Anacortes. Exact location to be provided following registration.
*Light snacks & drinks provided. We recommend bringing a sack lunch, as only 30 minutes will be provided for lunch.
