FieldSTEM: Fostering Outdoor Observation Skills with Science Notebooks

Attention WA State Formal K-8 Educators!

Join PEI for this introduction to Fostering Outdoor Observation Skills with Science Notebooks. In this professional learning experience, you will practice several simple activities that you can use to incorporate more of the outdoors into your lessons. You will also have time to collaborate with your grade-level* peers, and time to plan how you might integrate the content into your work.

The workshop will be a blended experience including online Zoom and self-paced learning: 

• October 26, 2021, 4 PM to 6 PM: 2-hour Zoom session
• Asynchronous work (Approximately 2 hours)
• November 9, 2021, 4 PM to 6 PM: 2-hour Zoom session

There will be an opportunity for participants to receive a $100 implementation stipend upon the completion of additional work. Details will be provided at the workshop.
