FieldSTEM: ELA Performance Tasks and Science Connections 

Attention Formal K-12 Educators!

Are you looking for an easy way to integrate ELA Performance Tasks with your students science and outdoor field experiences? 

Join PEI FieldSTEM Coordinators, Karen Lippy and Julie Tennis, on an exploration of PEI’s suite of performance tasks.

Participants will:

• Experience a performance task, including how standards are addressed and assessed.
• Use MyTree tool and outdoor measurements to incorporate field study with an ELA performance task.
• Explore the PEI’s collection of ELA performance tasks and select tasks appropriate for use in their context.

Participants who attend will receive 3 Washington State approved STEM clock hours.

There will be an opportunity to earn a $50 implementation stipend. More details will be provided at the workshop.
