FieldSTEM: Fostering Outdoor Observation Skills with Science Notebooks

(Plus 2 hours asynchronous work)

Attention K-12 Formal Educators!

Join PEI for this introduction to Fostering Outdoor Observation Skills with Science Notebooks. In this professional learning experience, you will practice several simple activities that you can use to incorporate more of the outdoors into your lessons. You will also have time to collaborate with your grade-level peers, and time to plan how you might integrate the content into your work.

The workshop will be a blended experience including online Zoom and self-paced learning: 

• Wednesday, November 9, 2022, 4 PM to 6 PM: 2-hour Zoom session
• Asynchronous work (Approximately 2 hours)
• Wednesday, November 30, 2022, 4 PM to 6 PM: 2-hour Zoom session

Participants who attend both online sessions and complete all associated work will receive 6 Washington State Approved STEM clock hours.

There will be an opportunity for participants to receive a $100 implementation stipend upon the completion of additional work. Details will be provided at the workshop.
