Tribal Sovereignty, Salmon Recovery, and Co-Management in WA

Tuesday, August 12th – Starts @9:30AM – Olympia, WA

This workshop will engage teachers with salmon recovery efforts in Washington state through the lens of co management. Teachers will explore PEI resources for teaching about salmon, wetlands, and habitat restoration and view the documentary Fish Wars. Guest presenters will share diverse perspectives about fishery comanagement both from a historical and modern context. Snacks and lunch will be provided.

This workshop will engage teachers with fishery co management, the documentary Fish Wars, resources and curriculum to support teaching about salmon, wetlands, and the Salish Sea.
