Pacific Education Institute (PEI) is recruiting 4th and 5th grade teachers to pilot our erosion and food waste curriculum that addresses climate change. Each unit incorporates the following elements: NGSS aligned 3-Dimensional instruction, Indigenous ways of knowing, locally relevant activities, and solution orientated learning based on research from Project Drawdown.

This workshop is intended for Washington State classroom teachers in 4th and 5th grades. Grade level teams are encouraged.

A $300 implementation stipend is available for those who meet these requirements:

  • Pilot the curriculum in their classrooms before May 8, 2019
  • Administer pre and post assessment
  • Provide student work to PEI
