Project Learning Tree Workshop: Connecting STEM and Forests

$25Join the PEI and the King County Conservation District in a Project Learning Tree (PLT) workshop designed to help educators engage students in real-world science, technology, engineering and math using activities in PLT’s PreK-8 Environmental Activity Guide.
PLT’s activities are designed to use the environment to engage students in learning in urban, suburban, or rural settings – developing students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. The hands-on activities make teaching and learning fun! Lesson plans are flexible and can be easily incorporated into existing curriculum or nonformal education programs. The activities are inquiry-based with an emphasis on STEM and are correlated to state and national academic standards.
Educators will receive:
• PLT’s PreK-8 Environmental Activity Guide
• 6 Washington State Approved STEM Clock Hours – at no extra cost!
Intended Audience: Formal, Nonformal and Pre-Service Educators
