Going DEEP in Salmon Education for Science and CTE Teachers

(Yakima region educators only – registration will open to the public on 7/27)

Attention all grade 8-12 Science and CTE Educators!

Do you have a salmon tank and want to figure out new ways to integrate it into your curriculum? Do you wish you had a salmon tank but are unsure how useful it will be? The Mid-Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group (MCFEG) and Pacific Education Institute (PEI) are very excited to offer a Deep Dive into Salmon Education for secondary (8th-12th grade) science and CTE teachers in the Yakima region

This FREE 2.5 day adventure will include guest speakers, salmon tank tutorials, tours, and resources you can use in your classroom. You will also get professionally supported reflection and planning time to focus on including meaningful watershed experiences in your curricula.

Participants who attend all three sessions will receive 15 Washington State Approved STEM clock hours.

Please Note: All COVID-19 precautions will be taken to protect the health of all participating educators, facilitators and hatchery staff. All participants, facilitators and staff must wear a mask and practice social distancing during the indoor portions of the workshop.
