Regenerative Agriculture Solutions-Oriented Learning Storyline hosted by ESD 105

Is it possible to teach climate science in a way that is locally relevant, solutions-oriented, connected to indigenous science, and connected to careers? Who have been, are, and will be the local land stewards in my region? What are best practices to draw down carbon from the atmosphere while simultaneously producing food industrially? How will the Regenerative Agriculture Climate Solution Storyline look in my classroom? These questions will be answered in a 6 hour course called Regenerative Agriculture Solutions-Oriented Learning Storyline for ESD105. The Pacific Education Institute (PEI) in partnership with ESD 105 will guide participants in exploring the role of the regenerative agriculture in Washington’s key industry and its contribution to climate resiliency. Participants will engage with the solutions-oriented learning storyline format, which includes: local anchoring phenomena, culturally responsive practices tied to Since Time Immemorial, and NGSS three-dimensional formative assessment. 5th, MS, and HS grade levels are encouraged to attend.

Important Session Information:
The course will be delivered in two 2-hour synchronous (Zoom) sessions separated by 2 hours of asynchronous learning (Google Classroom).
