Solutions Oriented Learning Storylines: Renewable Energy, Solar
Attention all Formal Educators of Grades 3-12 from the ESD123* region!
Join Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners to take a deep dive into renewable energy: solar, focusing on Central and Eastern Washington.* Participants will learn about the Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline format, which includes: centering Indigenous perspectives, local anchoring phenomena, culturally responsive practices, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures, and a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases with opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities.
This workshop is part of a series of activities that includes three online Zoom sessions, four self-paced learning opportunities on Canvas, and providing feedback on the storyline as you explore it.
Synchronous Sessions:
- Tuesday, February 8, 2022, 4 PM to 5:30 PM
- Tuesday, February 15, 2022, 4 PM to 5 PM
- Tuesday, February 22, 2022, 4 PM to 5:30 PM
Participants who attend all three online sessions and complete all associated work on Canvas will receive:
- 6 STEM Washington State Approved Clock Hours
- An opportunity to earn up to a $300 stipend for implementation
