Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline: Urban Forestry

Attention Formal Educators of Grades K-12!

Join Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners to take a deep dive into urban forestry in Washington State. Participants will learn about the Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline format, which includes: centering the Indigenous perspective, local anchoring phenomena, culturally responsive practices, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures, and a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases with opportunities to elevate student choices in their communities. 

This workshop includes three online Zoom sessions and three self-paced learning opportunities on Google Classroom. 

Synchronous Sessions:

  • Thursday, May 6, 2021, 4 PM to 6 PM
  • Thursday, May 13, 2021, 4 PM to 6 PM
  • Wednesday, May 19, 2021, 4 PM to 6 PM

Participants who attend both sessions and complete all assigned work will receive:

  • 9 Washington State Approved STEM clock hours
  • $80 Participation Stipend
Please note: you must be a formal educator of grades K-12 in Washington State to attend this workshop.
