Become an integral part of this groundbreaking curriculum in Washington State!
#climetime #waclimetime #teachclimate
Pacific Education Institute (PEI) is recruiting 4th and 5th grade teachers to implement our erosion and food waste storylines that address climate change. Each storyline incorporates the following elements: NGSS aligned 3-Dimensional instruction, Indigenous ways of knowing, locally relevant activities, and solution oriented learning based on research from Project Drawdown.
This workshop is part of a series that includes: two-day workshop (support available for teachers traveling long distances), implementation of the storyline this fall, collection and scoring submission of student work and a follow-up video conference to check in on progress and provide feedback at the end of October.
This workshop is for 4th and 5th grade classroom teachers – grade levels team are encouraged.
- Sub reimbursement is provided up to $150 per day.
- A $150 implement stipend is available for those that implement the storyline, attend the video conference follow-up, and collect/submit student assessment data.
- 12 STEM Washington State approved clock hours are available to teachers attending the two-day workshop.
