Attention Central Washington K-12 and CTE Educators!
What was the last thing you ate? Did you eat it all? And where did the waste go?
Join Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners to take a deep dive into food waste mitigation in Washington state. Participants will learn about the Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline format, which includes: centering the Indigenous perspective, local anchoring phenomena, culturally responsive practices, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures, and a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases with opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities. During the workshop, participants will also explore a large-scale compost facility!
Participants who attend the entire session will receive:
- 6 Washington State approved STEM Clock Hours (formal educators only)
- A $175 participation stipend
- The opportunity to earn a $200 implementation stipend
