Pacific Education Institute (PEI) is inviting 4th-5th grade, middle school and high school teachers to implement our food waste storylines that address climate change. Each storyline incorporates the following elements: NGSS aligned 3-Dimensional instruction, Indigenous ways of knowing, locally relevant activities, and solutions oriented learning based on research from Project Drawdown.
This workshop is part of a series of activities that includes: a two-day workshop (support available for teachers traveling long distances), implementation of the storyline, collection and submission of student work and a follow-up video conference to check in on progress and provide feedback.
PEI will provide:
• Sub reimbursement up to $150 per day.
• A $150 implementation stipend for those that pilot the storyline in their classroom, attend the video conference follow-up, and collect/submit student assessment data.
• Up to 12 STEM Washington State
