Coast: Forestry Worksite Tour

June 18, 2018 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Do you teach forest management or forestry skills as part of a CTE course?

Are you planning to offer a forestry-specific CTE course in your district?

Do you want a better understanding of how working forests contribute ecosystem services to your community and this State?

CTE Teachers, Formal K-12 Educators, and Administrators are invited to join Rayonier and PEI for this field tour of forest management practices in Washington State. The tour is aligned to the newly created CTE Advanced Forestry framework developed in partnership with several school districts and Grays Harbor College. Students successfully completing the framework can earn dual credit, high school, and college.

Registered participants will have an opportunity to earn a $100 stipend and 6 Washington State Approved CTE STEM Clock Hours – at no cost!

There will be a follow-up workshop on June 19th to develop resources for teachers that plan to teach Advanced Forestry. Registration coming soon.
