Solutions Oriented Learning Storylines: Wetlands

Join Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners to take a deep dive into wetlands, focusing on the West Sound and Coast region. Participants will learn about the Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline format, which includes: centering indigenous perspectives, local anchoring phenomena, culturally responsive practices, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures, and a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases with opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities.

This virtual workshop includes three online Zoom sessions and two asynchronous learning opportunities.

Date and times of synchronous sessions:

  • Monday, June 21, 9 AM to 11 AM
  • Tuesday, June 22, 9 AM to 11 AM
  • Wednesday, June 23, 9 AM to 11 AM

Participants who attend all three sessions and complete the asynchronous assignments will receive:

  • An $80 participation stipend
  • 8 Washington State approved STEM Clock Hours

Please note: this workshop is for classroom teachers teaching grades K-12 in Washington public schools.
