Designing High Impact Field Experiences and GSSC

Calling K-12 Formal Educators!

Interested in providing meaningful outdoor FieldSTEM experiences for your students? Learn how to create High Impact Field Experiences that are deeply integrated with your curricula and classroom learning goals!

In this workshop hosted by Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and Garden of the Salish Sea Curriculum (GSCC) you will: 

*Learn how to design your own High Impact Field Experience 

*Learn how community partners can support you

*Get outside! Participate in Garden of the Salish Sea Curriculum lessons, including a beach survey 

*Hear from a professional in the field of disabilities and consider how to make your Field Experience accessible 

*Develop components of your own Field Experience (not limited to marine ecology) using PEI’s professional resources

 

When: Saturday, April 22, 2023, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM 

Where: Blaine, WA (specific location to be provided upon registration) 

Participants earn: 6 free STEM clock hours and an opportunity to earn a $100 implementation stipend 

 

Be sure to bring your: lunch, water-proof boots, and computer 

*We recommend bringing a sack lunch, as only 30 minutes will be provided for lunch.
