Fostering Outdoor Observation Skills Through Science Notebooking for Teachers (Grades 3-8)

March 24, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

$50

Bring science alive through outdoor observations and science notebooking, while helping your students meet Common Core and Next Generation Science  Standards. Intermediate and middle-level teachers are invited to join PEI Faculty Karen Lippy and FieldSTEM Coordinator Lori Reynolds in a workshop designed for 3-8 learners focused on integrating outdoor experiences with literary skills.

Participants will be immersed in using a science notebook to enhance observation and writing skills. Ample time will be available to explore ways to connect PEI’s  FieldSTEM performance tasks to science notebooking and outdoor experiences.

*Eligible participants can earn 6 Washington State Approved STEM Clock Hours and a $150 Implementation Stipend (details will be given at workshop)*
